We are committed to telling the stories of people who are struggling to make ends meet. We are committed to making sure that public policy accurately reflects the lived experience of people who experience housing challenges. Please reach out to us if you would like to share your story.
NCHCW forms policy positions by speaking directly with parents, young people, and front line child welfare and housing staff. We are also interested in the thoughts of attorneys representing parents. We are exceedingly familiar with the robust, 40-year-old base of evidence supporting the efficacy of simply helping struggling Americans secure stable housing. We are also aware of the legions of researchers seeking to confirm what humans have acknowledged for over 5,000 years - that that humans tend to do best when housed. Our policies are shaped by that as well.
We are always honored to speak with folks about their experience as well as their suggestions for improving housing and child welfare policy. If you would like to speak with us, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
To speak with an NCHCW staff member about our approach to the intersection of housing and child welfare, please email email@example.com to schedule a time to speak.
